We are currently looking for an ERP Project Manager to join our team in Oxnard, CA.

As an ERP Project Manager you will represent Mission’s interests in the management of the ERP Selection, Customization, and Implementation Projects. You will accomplish these by utilizing the Project Management Institute's (PMI) project management methodology: deliverables, scope, budget, quality, stakeholders, risks, and the realization of value to Mission.  You are responsible for establishing timelines, assigning resources, monitoring progress, assessment of vendor performance, and ultimately delivering an implemented ERP solution meeting the project scope.

The successful candidate will ensure good governance and transparency and with a high level of communication with the Mission ERP team, IT Steering Committee, the ERP software vendor, the Systems Integrator, and other stakeholders.

Requirements: 
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years managing Tier 1 and 2 ERP projects with multi-site and multi-currency.
  • Experience managing ERP projects in the produce industry highly desired.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Personal responsibility and accountability.
  • Business political maturity.
  • Strong team facilitation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Be willing to work occasional extended hours.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with analyzing complex issues and delivering appropriate solutions.

  • Ability to travel, sometimes on short notice.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Lead multiple, concurrent, related projects as part of the overall ERP solution project. 
  • Lead and balance between various roles in the selection, design, customization, implementation, and operational aspects of the project.
  • Provide consistent and clear communication between all project stakeholders, providing Mission’s business requirements and expectations for the ERP project to all involved.
  • Guide team members from concept to implementation phases and troubleshoot complex issues.  
  • Create and maintain project plan, develop budget, scope, provide update reports and status to executive sponsors.
  • Direct business process evaluations, and systems analysis and design. 
  • Consult with external contacts to ensure quality deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Monitor, plan, and forecast key milestones, create options and alternatives, and have the ability to adjust project plans and resources in light of customer needs and potential ambiguities – be nimble.
  • Elicit requirements from stakeholders.
  • Facilitate all meetings relating to the project.
  • Monitor and track milestones, goals and sub-projects.
  • Prepare project communication plans such as:
    • Set the project up to succeed, including developing a detailed Project Charter (budget, project plan, scope, RACI, etc.) to be communicated and internalized by Mission Management, the ERP Project Team, and the implementation resources during the project's kick-off phase.
    • Manage project governance activities, including reporting, issues, risks, meetings, etc.
    • Manage the systems integrator to ensure that the project as defined in the contract and Project Charter, is delivered.
    • Together with team leads, manage Mission's teams to ensure that they execute their tasks as defined in the project plan and in the timing needed, and at the appropriate level of quality.
  • Reconcile pre-defined project management methodology and deliverables from the systems integrator once established, to Mission’s best interests, requirements, and functions.
