Outside Sales Representative

Job Description: 

Miami Agroimport is a young and vibrant company dedicated to importing, packing and distributing specialty produce. At Miami Agroimport we are passionate about produce and we search every corner of the globe to provide our customers with the best quality in gourmet-fresh vegetables and fruits.

We are looking for a sales professional with experience in the retail food service and wholesale, with a concentration on sales and account management. Experience in specialty produce sales and procurement is also required. Candidates are expected to be driven, go-getting, highly adaptive to change, and self-starters.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum 5-6 years of produce sales experience in retail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Responsible for setting their own appointments
  • Knowledge of specialty produce, including quality, characteristics, and associated markets
  • Demonstrated achievement in building and sustaining relationships with customers
  • Ability to prepare and present information on our products and services
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products and solicit orders.
  • Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, and delivery dates.
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
  • Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Prepare estimates that meet specific customer needs.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports. 
  • Assist in the procurement of suppliers based on customer needs.
