We are currently searching for a Sales Representative to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.
As a Sales Representative you are responsible for promoting Melissa’s products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts in the assigned Los Angeles territory for Melissa’s foodservice division. You are also responsible for communicating effectively, following through on directions and organizing effectively to satisfy the customers’ needs.
- 4-year degree or culinary degree.
- 2+ years’ experience in a sales related position, preferably produce or food-related sales.
- Geographical knowledge of Los Angeles region.
- Knowledge of sales techniques and communications related to sales, credit and customer service activities.
- Ability to work nights and weekends- special events, client events, etc.
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle.
- Develop and maintain a list of prospective accounts to ensure long term sales efficiency.
- Possess a knowledge of produce, dairy/grocery products and culinary trends.
- Review all accounts to ensure maximum sales and profit per drop.
- Update customer on a continuous basis regarding any new products or services and pricing information.
- Provide excellent customer service and develop great working relationships with customers.
- Maintain accuracy of all order guides and customer information.
- See all customers on a regular basis- ability to plan and organize work schedule, introduce new products to customers, follow up with any customer questions/concerns.
- Work with customer service, procurement and shipping teams to ensure customer’s expectations are met.
