We are seeking a Customer Service Associate to play a critical support role on our Customer Support Team in Salinas, CA. 

The ideal candidate will be eager to gain knowledge and expertise in produce markets and exceptional customer service. This position requires accuracy in a high amount of data entry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to exhibit independence, flexibility, and good judgment to respond to changing priorities.

Requirements: 
  • College degree highly desirable
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the job duties; typically through a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service or general office experience
  • Strong computer skills, including database entry and ability to learn new programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and customer service skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems independently and with sound judgment
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and dependability in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, enthusiasm and team work

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Supports the work of the Customer Service Team to help meet team goals
  • Provides excellent day to day customer support; troubleshoots customer issues
  • Processes order entries, including checking notes
  • Sends confirmations and tracks volume
  • Sends pre and final manifests
  • Makes order changes and updates, processes credits, rejections and protections
  • Resolves transportation and dispatch issues
  • Communicates logistic loading areas
  • Maintains price templates
  • Reconciles accounting issues such as customer short pays
  • Tracks member volume
  • Communicates price sheets to members
  • Monitors, tracks, addresses and/or seeks help with emerging issues
  • Other duties as assigned
