Job Description:
Mann Packing Company, a pioneer in the fresh-cut produce industry and one of North America’s leading suppliers of fresh produce to the retail, foodservice and wholesale markets is looking to expand its Sales Department with an additional Sales Associate.
The Sales Associate will manage mid-level to low level accounts which are more program in nature, within foodservice, retail or wholesale channels. This individual will also support Sales Executives on high level accounts and provide guidance to the Sales Assistants.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Daily customer service activities for assigned accounts.
- Responsible for coordinating with Product Managers and shipping to provide high service levels to assigned accounts while maintaining business interest of the Company.
- Responsible for reviewing purchase patterns of assigned accounts for sale opportunities and loss sales.
- Ensuring that management is aware of customer problems, concerns, complaints and opportunities which ultimately impact the sales performance of the account.
- Responsible for assisting Product Managers during period of short supply with product allocations and ensuring regular customers are treated equitably.
- Responsible for assisting Product Managers in selling oversupply of products when necessary, with occasional negotiation of daily/weekly market pricing to the greatest financial benefit of the Company.
- Responsible for taking on additional responsibilities to ensure that customer coverage is thorough in the absence of a sales team member per the direction of the team Account Executive.
- Responsible for ensuring trouble files, R&A, Balance Dues, and Past Dues are settled within the Company’s time guidelines.
Education:
- BA/BS degree preferred
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fresh produce sales office
- Ability to communicate effectively with existing and potential customers both verbally and written.
- Analytical capabilities helpful
- Word and Excel – beginning level
- Ability to balance customers’ needs with the financial well-being of the Company.
