The Purchasing Analyst – Non Food will be responsible for identifying effective strategies that will be used to suggest advertising initiatives, price points and non-food promotional processes. In addition, they will support the role of the non-food team by reporting on market data in relation to current sales trends and competitive promotional pricing in the retail field. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing store allocations, ensuring stores will receive accurate inventory levels, responding to inventory related issues and increasing promotional turnover within our stores.
- Bachelor’s Degree in retail/ supply – chain or a related field
- 1 – 3 years of professional experience as a junior buyer, merchandiser, project analyst or business analyst
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office systems with advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with ARIS, SAP, ERP or PIM solutions
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Fluent speaking/writing in German a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Tracking and analyzing competitor prices and promotions
- Carrying out research, gathering data and liaising with internal and external teams to source relevant data
- Finding potential problems and providing solutions to buyers
- Communicating with Advertising and Quality Assurance
- Analyzing weekly sales and turnover
- Other duties as required
