In this fast paced and exciting area of our business, you will be given the responsibility to assist in developing a range of products through: detailed market analysis, cataloging of new suppliers, sample procurement, and monitoring market fluctuations. This will be achieved by obtaining a detailed understanding of the grocery retail market and most importantly, tastes and preferences of customers in your region.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply-Chain, Retail or related field
  • 2 years of previous professional experience with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Previous professional experience in retail setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Fluent speaking/writing in German a plus
  • Proficient with all office software programs (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding markets and tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to different client needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Act as the liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, and purchasing managers
  • Identify, test, and recommend new products in your range
  • Prepare portfolio reports and propose cost saving initiatives for your product range
  • Forecast levels of demand for products and consistently check on product stock levels
  • Prepare, in conjunction with the Purchasing Managers, market analysis of competitor products, pricing, promotions, packaging, trends, loyalty programs, and marketing initiatives
  • Conduct research to determine the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality
  • Other duties as assigned
