Job Description: 

Krass-Joseph is a well-known produce brokerage based in New Jersey that has been around for over 60 years. We have an excellent Blue Book Rating of 300M xxx B and take pride in what we do. Our current customer base extends from Baltimore/Washington to Boston, and we are looking to expand into other areas of the country.

At Krass-Joseph you’ll find a relaxed work environment filled with dedicated people. You can work from the office in northern New Jersey, home or even the beach as long as you have internet and a computer.  You choose the place - we’ll help set you up!

We are looking for people to sell to new customers. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, focused on results and efficient. As a Produce Broker you’ll maintain and create new customer relationships while using your sales skills.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Sell!
  • Proactively creating opportunities for additional sales with new and existing customers
  • Maintaining complete and accurate records of all sales and customers
  • Handling procurement from growers
  • Maintaining and developing working relationships with the team
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base 
Ideal Candidate: 

An ideal candidate has drive and a rich background in sales and negotiation. They will expand our customer base and continue to maintain past customer relationships. 

Qualifications: 
  • Prior produce brokering experience required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent organizational & negotiating skills
  • Attention to detail and good follow-through skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of market conditions
  • A team player with a can-do attitude
