John Vena, Inc. is currently seeking an Inventory and Quality Control Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating the daily activity of counting and checking inventory, resolving over and short issues, and reports on poor quality or conditions of products that have been received.

This position is also responsible for oversight of the Counting Team. She/he adjusts inventory as required and manages contents in coolers daily, as well as coordinates the disposal of product as required.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Leads, supervises and manages counting team.
  • Reviews computer system “Order Manager” routinely throughout the day.
  • Reviews orders that have been physically “set off” for shipment and marked in the system.
  • Checks physical count against computer count.
  • Researches and resolves over and short problems.
  • Adjusts inventory within the computer system as required.
  • Reviews content of all coolers daily.
  • Assists salesmen and buyers by identifying “orphan” packages and “odd” lots for quick sale.
  • Identifies and corrects improperly rotated inventory in coolers.
  • Identifies distressed products and communicates with product buyer.
  • Removes poor quality or poor condition products from inventory and files paperwork.
  • Coordinates the disposal of product to be dumped or sent to composting.
Education: 
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent required.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Warehouse experience (produce experience preferred).
  • Three to five years of experience in inventory and quality control/warehouse work.
Skills: 

•    Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
•    Strong basic math skills.
•    Proficient in computer use (Windows, Excel, Word).
•    Ability to learn proprietary Computer systems and applications.
