We are Searching for a Maintenance Manager II at our Loxahatchee, FL location. As the Maintenance Manager II you will be responsible for the plant maintenance. This includes responsibility for shop mechanics as well as regional mechanics and working on farm equipment. You must be able to provide direction and overseeing quality. You must be extremely mechanically inclined and able to make sound decisions; such as when to make a quick repair versus a complete overhaul or replacement. You will also be responsible for ensuring the maintenance schedule is followed, detailed records are kept and shop safety.

Requirements: 
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in facilities and food plant maintenance management is preferred.
  • RETA certified or working toward certification is preferred.
  • Individuals must possess knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience is required.
  • Ability to train and motivate employees is critical to the success of this position. Ability to explain technical manuals, schematics, drawings, diagrams and industry reference materials is a must.
  • Process Management and Risk Management experience maintaining mechanical integrity and inspections are required.
  • Computer literate.  Experience in using software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Mechanical aptitude in air, electric, plumbing and pump dynamics.  Ability to offer technical direction in areas of welding, safety, machinery repair, speed changes, determining equipment capacity, determining cause of equipment failure, technical document understanding and schematic/diagram interpolation, etc.
  • Must have complete understanding of PLC and logic controls for high speed operating equipment.
  • Prior experience using production environment SAP a plus.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and continuously meet deadlines. May require working off shifts, Saturdays and Sundays.
  • John Deer Experience very helpful.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Oversee plant maintenance operations.
  • Supervisory ability.
  • Responsible for maintenance of a manufacturing plant, facilities, buildings and the maintenance of manufacturing plant equipment. 
  • Schedule Repair and Maintenance
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive and predictive plant maintenance program.
  • Must be very proactive and action orientated relative to emergencies as well as preventive and predictive maintenance. 
  • Provide leadership.
  • Review, monitor, and ensure the operation of plant equipment and systems are optimized to minimize unplanned interruptions and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems. 
  • Scope: Large-sized plant.

Must follow all instruction related to Food Defense, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Agricultural Practices and HACCP program. Must report to the Food Safety Department any problem or irregular situation at their work location. Responsible for proper use of all mixing chemicals used in the maintenance process, cleaning/sanitation procedure. Maintain logs and documents related with food safety. Keeping all MSDS information for the product that they use.

To train employees or assure employees are trained annually or as needed in the usage of Food Grade and Non-Food Grade chemicals used in the facility, periodic inspections, chemical inventory, chemical storage, chemicals and supplies request and receiving. To verify logs and documents related with Food Safety are being filled out and kept in a clean and orderly way.

Qualifications: 

Typical Physical Demands: Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities.  Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

Typical Work Conditions:  Operate an industrial forklift in a warehouse environment.  Employee frequently interacts with other employees, supervisors, and warehouse manager during the workday.
