We are looking to recruit an outgoing person who enjoys developing strong business relations with national transportation companies and produce receivers. Negotiate freight and shipping loads, domestic and international and coordinate between the sales office, operations and shipping on a daily basis for order allocations and freight efficiencies. Provide shipment tracking, excellent customer service and problem resolution.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum two years of transportation experience and knowledge of produce industry.
  • Overall knowledge of transportation industry including fuel costs, mileage rates, trends, stop charges and trip costs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication requires listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analytical and detail orientated skills required
  • Bilingual English / Spanish a plus

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Prepare, verify, update and maintain various shipping records, i.e., BOL’s, packing lists, shipping logs and I-Trade.
  • Data entry including sales orders, purchase orders, freight confirmations, freight payables and Perform all computer functions necessary to track various downstream transportation needs.
  • Assist with import/export process to ensure compliance with USA, Canada and other foreign government laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, transportation trends and other industry intelligence.
  • Enter freight claims in the system and assist sales staff with information research and report to ensure claims are finalized in a timely manner.
