We are currently looking for a new Sales Team Leader for our Fresh Herbs division.

Work with our Del Cabo Sales team to create dynamic cross promotions with our many other customers product categories.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker and great communicator who has a passion for working with customers to figure out their unique needs and grow their herb category.

Requirements: 
  • 4 plus years of experience in produce sales preferably in organics.
  • Knowledge of herbs a plus.
  • College Degree a plus.
  • Progressive management experience.
  • Able to develop and execute sales strategies and account planning to exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to lead, coach, inspire, motivate and train sales personnel.
  • Innovative, forward thinker; able to anticipate issues/opportunities and work through obstacles and potential roadblocks.
  • Able to perform effectively in an environment that is progressing rapidly and where multiple priorities and tasks need to be constantly addressed.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Manage Jacobs Farm Herb Sales team. Provide Leadership, problem solving, pricing strategies, customer strategies
  • Provide customer service management and oversight to all JF Herbs distributors, retailers and food service customers, processors for bulk sales of organic fresh herbs (over 25 varieties).  
  • Communicate with Planning Departments/farming Departments regarding product availability and pricing. 
  • Disseminate inventory/availability information to JF Sales team as needed.  
  • Participate with Dir of Sales and Marketing in forecasting, goals and target sales and strategy how to achieve them.
  • Work with logistics, customers, and accounting to understand, organize and evaluate freight costs Decide on allocation of inventory to customers when supply is short.  
  • Decide on best course of action(s) when shipping challenges arise. 
  • Work with Sales Team to create and maintain an accurate credit and customer complaints 
  • Provide leadership and mentoring for accounts reps to help develop their skills and industry knowledge so they can grow with the company.
  • Communicate daily information regarding product availability and customer pricing from Planning/Farming
  • Conduct monthly meetings with staff to discover any challenges with their job and communicate any short comings and set goals.
  • Conduct annual reviews per company review forms and make recommendations to company as to changes in compensation.
  • Direct and delegate travel to trade shows and customer visits to the Account Representatives as agreed upon with.
