Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Pest Control Advisor and Integrated Pest Management Manager in Freedom, California.
Responsible for servicing 300 acres of field and 1.25 million square feet of greenhouse production in Santa Cruz and San Mateo Counties. Position will be involved in developing integrated pest management strategies, field scouting, pesticide selection, application oversight, record keeping, and reporting.

Requirements:
- Current valid California Private Applicator Card
- • Valid California Driver’s License
- Ability to lift heavy objects: 50 lbs
- Strong organization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Detail oriented and able to follow through on tasks
- Ability to work 45-50 hours per week (including Saturdays)
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Weekly visits to all Ranches, Fields, and Blocks
- Weekly field scouting for disease and pest pressure
- Supervise field scouts
- Generate weekly pest / disease reports
- Develop a comprehensive IPM plan including; bio controls, beneficial insects, natural predators, trapping, vacuuming, and spraying
- Hedgerow propagation, planning, and implementation
- Pesticide Safety Compliance
- Pesticide Application Reporting / Documentation
- Follow up on field treatments for efficacy
- Generate updated field / block maps
- Communicate field availabilities and quality issues to production / management team on a daily basis
- Record keeping
- Manage experimental trials
- Soil, water, and tissue sampling
Education:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
