The IS team is located in Corcoran, CA and we are currently seeking a Senior GIS Programmer Analyst to provide a broad level of systems and database administration support for the J. G. Boswell Company GIS Systems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Augment internal IT staff and serve as an IT technical lead by assisting management, end-users and colleagues to achieve project deliverables and system enhancements.
- Design, develop, implement, manage, and maintain GIS software, network infrastructure, database, applications and computer systems.
- Interpret, analyze, recommend and implement geographic information systems.
- install and implement computer software application programs and systems for department users.
- Assist application developers and GIS analysts to deliver GIS datasets, GIS applications and services. Deliver on- going support, troubleshoot & resolve issues.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Proven skills in GIS application design and development using ARCNet and Microsoft Visual Studios.
- Possess knowledge, skills and abilities in GIS server administration, Oracle and MS SQL database administration; Microsoft Visual Studio and LINUX.
- Demonstrated expertise obtaining, manipulating, and organizing data. Ability to define, plan and implement analysis and processes. Have experience in creating, implementation and maintenance of geo databases and shape files.
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline. Three (3) to ten (10) years of practical experience can be substituted for formal education.
