Job Description:
The J. G. Boswell Company is an agricultural producer and processor in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California. The Engineering Department of the J. G. Boswell Company is recruiting for a staff process controls/automation engineer to fill a position in the Company's Engineering Department.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Activities will involve some engineering duties other than programming, requires some mechanical understanding, and will include maintenance and operations of process controls automation systems systems for automated oil mill and cotton gins.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, with Allen Bradley PLC, SCADA/HMI (Intellution preferred), and industrial ethernet communication protocol desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Excellent math and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Supportive of internal customer requests.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Education:
The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Process Control, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, (experience is not required, but preferred) or alternatively a two year degree with significant appropriate experience on process controls.
