Index Fresh is a 100 year old Southern California Avocado grower / shipper / importer searching for Sales person with 5 plus year sales experience to retail, wholesale & foodservice outlets across the U.S. Avocado sales experience a plus. Self – starter that can hit the ground running.
This individual will develop and manage sales accounts. Job entails finding new accounts and handling all sales, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities& Duties:
Hands on environment - involved in all aspects of sales department including:
- Proactively creating opportunities for additional sales with new corporate accounts at a national level and existing customers
- Seeking to improve sales revenue in line with established sales targets
- Maintaining complete and accurate records of all sales and customers
- Program selling / contract sales / FOB sales
- National retail program development
- Sales planning & market forecasting
- AR management
Qualifications:
- 5 years of prior sales experience, highly desirable
- College degree preferred in related field
- Strong Computer proficiency, a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organizational & negotiating skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
- Bilingiual, Spanish a plus
30% annual travel to develop and maintain account base
