RPC Account Manager (Western Region)

Job Description: 

Externally, the Account Manager interacts with Produce, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Sustainability Executives as well as, Corporate Buyers, Regional Buyers, Category Managers, Store Managers, Assistants, and Grower-Shippers.  Internally the Account Manager interacts with IFCO Grower Sales, Audit, and Commodity Managers.  All activities support increasing the number of recollections from retailers in assigned territory.
 
Desired Skills & Experience:

  • College Degree in Business or Agribusiness-related field (Bachelors)  or equivalent industry experience required
  • Ability to establish solid rapport with produce personnel at HQ, warehouse, stores and at the grower level.
  • Must be geographically located to assigned retailers and willing/able to travel at least 50% of the work week
  • 5+ years of related experience in sales in the fresh produce industry
  • Previous sales experience contacting regional and national retailers at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to identify needed resources and dispatch them quickly to improve performance
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently
  • Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Computer literacy required, including proficiency in standard business applications included in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint
