We are in search of an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join our Production/Processing Department as a Production Supervisor at our Los Angeles location.
As the Production Supervisor you must thrive working in a fast paced, busy environment and possess a measureable familiarity with asparagus, herbs and other specialties. You will spend 80% of your time inside the production floor mainly focused on supervising and ensuring that the production schedule is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters. You will work in conjunction with the Production Manager to provide guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to the production/processing employees.
- At least 2 years of previous supervisory experience in an industrial food processing or production environment.
- Bilingual Spanish / English preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, QA/QC.
- Intermediate computer skills, especially with MS Outlook; Knowledge of Famous Software a big plus.
- Ability to lift 20 to 40 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a cold, refrigerated environment (34 degrees to 36 degrees.)
- Requires availability outside of normal business hours, such as weekends and evenings, or nights.

- Oversees that processing employees are accurately storing, labeling, and dating all incoming and completed food product.
- Trains and monitors processing staff by giving direction on daily tasks to meet production deadlines.
- Requires hands-on capability to operate all machinery and equipment within the boundaries of available manuals, instruction, and personal expertise.
- Ensures processing crew is food according to all Food Safety guidelines such as HACPP, GMP, etc. and reports all food safety and quality issues immediately to the Processing Manager.
- Assists in assuring all customer orders are completed as requested.
- Operate all functions of position alone and without assistance if necessary; fill in for the Production Manager when absent.
- Order and plan for daily ingredients needed for recipes of food service items.
- Insure all food storage areas are properly secured and locked.
- Provide a clean and orderly work area for employees to ensure safety guidelines are met on the various line.
- Other duties assigned as necessary.
