Job Description:
As a member of the Harvest Sensations Management Team, this role will be responsible for negotiating and managing all grower and vendor agreements. The focus o f this position will be developing processes and new product opportunities to grow sales across all categories while maintaining quality and profit expectations. Partnering with the other managers to provide tactical solutions as well as long-term strategic initiatives will be essential to the success of this position.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Leads corporate sourcing; plans, coordinates and directs the national sourcing activities for all Harvest Sensations locations. Directs and oversees all personnel engaged in sourcing at the Miami location.
- Negotiates contracts that ensure a profitable supply of high quality products with conformity to product specs
- Maintains inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Proactively participates in new product opportunity and development
- Handles internal and external pricing requests for short term and annual RFP commitments
- Constantly analyzes the market and industry for trends
- Provides forecasts for pricing, supply and quality in key specialty items
- Actively leads budgeting process for cost of goods
- Responsible for meeting budgeted targets
- Ensures compliance for Food Safety and regulatory guidelines
- Manages the supporting transportation networks (air, ocean, ground & local P&D)
- Develops interpersonal relationships externally and internally
- Compiles daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
- Enforces all safety, security and health rules
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or technical certification in agriculture, horticulture, food science or management is preferred
Experience:
- 5-10 years of produce industry experience with specifically a minimum of 5 years of produce sourcing/procurement experience with direct responsibility for supply, profitability and quality with proven negotiation skills .
- Must have current knowledge of produce industry specific information such as growing seasons, inflation/deflation cycles, inventory experience and pricing knowledge.

- Ability to travel internationally
