Our commitment is to our growers; when our growers succeed, we all succeed. We manage both independent growers and producer group accounts and assist them with obtaining GlobalG.A.P. Certification.
We are currently looking for an Internal Inspector to join our team of Food Safety Specialists in Kingsburg, California. We are looking for an individual who works well in a fast paced environment and is able to work towards and meet deadlines. As an internal inspector, you will be responsible for meeting with growers and performing pre-audits for the annual multiple producer groups. You will need to be able to write timely detailed reports articulating your findings.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Travel to inspection sites and perform annual inspections for growers
- Maintain current knowledge of food safety regulations
- Utilize the GlobalG.A.P. Checklist to perform annual inspections for our growers
- Prepare corrective action reports for growers
- Liaise with management regarding inspection findings and make recommendations for improving policies and/or procedures if necessary
- Communicate with growers to explain any non-conformances
- Walk through the GlobalG.A.P. checklist and ensure growers are compliant with requirements
- Must be passionate about delivering excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, or related agricultural fields
- Knowledge of GlobalG.A.P is preferred, but not required
- Prior experience with Food Safety Audit programs is preferred
- Computer proficient in navigating databases and data entry software
- Strong written and oral communication
- Ability to make decisions and support those decisions
- Any agricultural related certifications are preferred, but not required
- Able to work well in a team oriented environment
- Critical thinker with strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to be successful
- Ability to make ethical and sound decisions
- Proven ability to prioritize and multitask
- Must be self-motivated and self-starting
