We are currently looking for an Operations Manager in the Southeast to oversee our Florida and Georgia Farms.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of the Southeast carrot packing operations and farming support. You will also be responsible for overseeing the production, shipping, safety, maintenance, sanitation and quality programs for a seasonal carrot packing and shipping operation. During parts of the year, you will also support the farming operations in the area.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Agriculture preferred.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of progressive management experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all departments and levels of the company.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office programs and business system databases.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Have an understanding of food production and all related requirements including HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Be an effective manager of people, and understand, communicate and enforce personnel policies.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Manage the day to day operations and ensure all policies and procedures are complete.
  • Oversee, direct, and manage all quality control functions.
  • Assist with Food Safety and Security standards.
  • Oversee all inspections, maintain accurate reporting and monitor all policies and regulations.
  • Create and maintain a positive working climate to promote employee morale and productivity.
  • Interact with personnel from multiple departments across the company at all levels.
  • Serve as a liaison in communicating with Sales, Production and Quality Assurance staff in our California operations.
  • Design and implement new procedures, standards and performance indicators in key operational areas including plant operations, maintenance, automation, sanitation and quality control.
  • Develop and mentor facility staff.
  • Coordinate and schedule production and maintenance schedules in a fast-paced and rapidly changing sales demand environment.
  • Coordinate with the Farming Department to help strategize and maximize the quality yield of crops.
  • Organize the maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment, and machinery.
