Currently we are trying to fill a sales position at our newly expanded operation in the New Orleans, Louisiana market. The sales person should have a good working knowledge of the wholesale produce sales a distribution business, preferably in the New Orleans market area. The responsibilities include: developing new customers, building relationships, doing good clean ethical business. We are a strong growing company that is expanding into a new market. - 3 to 5 years of wholesale produce sales experience
- Must be computer literate
- Flexibility in hours
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
- We prefer a 4 year degree – but it is not required
- Daily sales and pricing development
- Working with the transportation department to facilitate timely customer deliveries
- Introducing new produce items to our customer base
- Coordinate with accounting and purchasing in order to service our customer base at the highest level
- Build strong relationships with customers, staff, and vendors
- Communicate market trends and availability with customers
- Build a strong diverse customer base: retail, wholesale, jobbers, and foodservice
