Sales Coordinator

Job Description: 

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work, and orders and documents within a very fast-paced Trading Department - according to the ongoing needs of the Trading Staff.

The position provides phone, sales coordination, and administrative support to the sales staff. You must enjoy a fast-paced and quickly changing environment, identify and complete tasks with minimum instruction and oversight, and recognize and respond to opportunity. Characteristics for success include accuracy in detail, while performing multiple tasks, and experience with Windows, Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. The majority of the tasks are phone and computer related (emails, spreadsheets, and database) and involve communication and coordination with the Sales Team, customers, suppliers, and Transportation/Logistics.  

Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Inventory Management in Multiple Warehouses
  • Vendor Management
  • Organize and manage all necessary documentation
  • Assisting customer needs in a respectful and efficient manner
  • Order entry and tracking of shipments
  • Assisting the sales department as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the food industry preferred
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Problem solving skills
  • Previous experience in a fast paced office environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task and handle time sensitive projects
  • Handling phones in a professional manner
  • MS Office applications (advance in Word and Excel)
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized with the ability to problem solve and work independently
