Job Description:
The Marketing Manager will work on a wide range of corporate, grower, and product marketing projects including: trade events, communications media (PR, trade print media and awareness), packaging design, website management, and sales/customer/grower support. Additional areas include new product/packaging development, brand marketing, sales promotions, sales and promotional material development, and special projects as they present themselves – which will all require communication and coordination between internal and external parties.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Plan and implement promotional programs in conjunction with sales team and product management year round and during peak times of the season.
- Propose and review proposals, develop tactics and implement sales promotions
- Create customized account specific promotional programs as well as cross promotions with other products/companies outside of fresh produce
- Manage new product and private label research and development
- Plan, coordinate & manage tactics and promotional elements with graphic designer, while ensuring accurate content
- Develop all promotional materials to support the company and programs
- Analyze results, identify best practices and develop recommendation for future feasibility.
- Analyze scan & sales data to detect and share trends in usage & pricing
- Develop and execute trade advertising calendar and corresponding budget
- Develop, write and pitch press releases and news editorials to press in conjunction with sales and procurement
- Maintain, manage and evolve website, trade media advertising and Trade Relations
- Maintain social media platforms
- Expand digital media activities to reach broader audience, build brand awareness, brand engagement and direct customer communications.
- Establish and Maintain budget
- Plan and execute Trade Shows and Conventions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 5+ years applicable experience
- 2 yrs + experience in graphics , packaging design and related activities preferred
- Experience with MS Suite, Photoshop, as well as web design/programming
- Excellent writing, communications and customer service skills
- Work in a professional, confident manner and make decisions independently
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment
- Problem solve and execute ideas in timely manner
- Work in team structure with other departments
- Willingness to travel as needed
