GFG is expanding their team and is searching for a dedicated and entrepreneurial produce professional to become the East Coast Sales Manager, whose passion aligns with the company's culture.

As the East Coast Sales Manager you can work remotely in NY, mid-Atlantic or near a major east coast airport.

Your responsibilities as an East Coast Sales Manager will include working with the decision makers at regional and national retailers to gain new listings, manage and grow current placements, establish promotional plans, and drive overall business growth under the exciting "Good Foods” brand. The “Good Foods” brand includes a variety of product lines including guacamole, protein salads, cold-pressed juices, grain salads, Greek yogurt based dips, and many other innovative products that are made with fresh ingredients delivered daily from produce partners.

The ideal candidate wants to be a part of the food revolution and join their team to spread “goodness” utilizing all the benefits of products made using HPP. They will have established retailer and broker relationships in fresh foods with an emphasis in the produce category.

Requirements: 
  • 8+ years’ experience successfully managing produce brands at large national or eastern regional territory with year over year growth.
  • Strong and positive current relationships with a stellar reputation in conventional retail channels.
  • Proven performer in a high-paced environment.
  • Strategic and creative thinking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Estimated 50% - 75% travel required.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Lead East Coast Retail Sales in representing the Good Foods brand to east coast retail channels: Increase distribution, establish new placement and grow assortment on the East Coast.
  • Manage spend levels and negotiate promotions.
  • Be a brand ambassador by motivating sales partners, spreading awareness, support retail partnerships in the perishable food sectors.
  • Pioneer product line in fresh categories with an emphasis in the produce category with retail and bulk offerings.
  • Manage and appoint regional brokerage firms in effectively presenting, merchandising, and promoting the Good Foods brand with 'Best of Class Brokers’.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to prepare presentations, promote and support merchandising and brand initiatives.
  • Participate in regional and national trade shows (e.g. United Fresh, PMA - Fresh Summit, Southern Exposure, IDDBA, Expo West, and other regional shows).
  • Analyze and synthesize sales reports, market data, and identify opportunities to generate effective sales and promotion strategies.
