Get Fresh Companies, the #1 all-inclusive produce distribution company in Nevada, seeks a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have previous experience planning, supervising, and assisting in the maintenance of a distribution building to include the preventative maintenance of conveyance systems. Knowledge of CMMS, BMP or EMS is preferred. The Building Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for following organization and implementation of safety programs in compliance with State and Federal (OSHA) regulations. Must be able to troubleshoot, investigate and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic machinery. Must be available to work a flexible schedule with long hours.
- Prioritize and execute the repairs, maintenance activities and staffing needs in order to guarantee the day-to-day agreed level of performance of the equipment within the building
- Improve the performance of the building through identifying the causes of incidents, and collaborating with team members for optimizing and maintaining programs and initiating improvement projects.
- As a member of the Maintenance Team, contribute to the general improvement of the department and take on duties if required.
Major Responsibilities:
Maintenance Support
- Collect, prioritize and implement the technical works of the building.
- Ensure that his/her team completes projects and inspections.
- Has technical expertise and has a “hands on” work ethic.
Leadership Capabilities
- Ability to help manage and coordinate the work of the maintenance team.
- Ensure that the systems and procedures are in place and working properly at all times.
- Determine and prioritize Team targets.
- Implement a continuous improvement process in his/her area to ensure that performance improves through permanent involvement of all the members of the Team.
- Ensure that the safety and rules of the building are respected.
- Ensure that the relevant communication processes exist, in order to guarantee a good working environment, teamwork, and efficiency between departments.
- Internal and external communication processes are in place.
- Ability to Improve Performance of Dept.
- Become a strong liaison between his/her Team and Management Team.
- Improve performance of equipment through efficiency, intervention, and identifying root causes, analysis and problem solving.
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
- A minimal of 3-5 years of experience in the field
- Certificate in a Qualified Technical School
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems
- Knowledge of Pumps and Hydraulic Systems
- Knowledge of Piping Systems (plastic and steel)
- Knowledge of Conveyor Systems
- Spanish Bi-lingual a plus but not necessary
