We have an exciting new opportunity for an energetic and motivated Sales Representative/Transportation Broker to join our team in either Rutherford, NJ or remotely.

As the Sales Representative/Transportation Broker you will be responsible for achieving sales and business development objectives.  As well as creating revenue growth through new business development and expansion of existing business.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum of 4 years direct sales experience; with an emphasis on developing business with new accounts.
  • Sound knowledge of proven sales processes.
  • Demonstrated record of year-over-year sales growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic business development, negotiation, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Computer proficiency with various computer software programs including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Identifies new sales opportunities though lead generation, cold calling and prospecting.
  • Grows and maintains business within existing accounts.
  • Proactively creating opportunities for additional sales with new and existing customers.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with key account decision makers; builds and maintains a pipeline of potential customers.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all sales and customers.
  • Meets or exceeds sales goals and objectives.
  • Seeking to improve sales revenue in line with established sales targets. 
  • Effectively works with sales team, operations and service functions to maintain superior service levels and maximize sales revenue.
  • Provides sales support and superior customer service to existing customers, while also acquiring new clientele.
  • Travels to customer locations as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Education: 
  • College degree or equivalent related business experience.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
