Job Description:
80 year family-owned produce distributor seeking Swing Lead Supervisor in Sacramento, California. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the warehouse at night. This position supervises the Order Selector crew (50+ employees) in selecting and loading customer orders and other general warehouse activities.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coaches and provides training in the areas of work procedures to Order selectors.
- Maintains and ensures compliance of all established shift production goals.
- Maintains established programs that provide acceptable levels of sanitation and employee safety.
- Schedules swing shift crew members for their shifts on a weekly basis.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. These include: hiring, rewarding and disciplining employees, planning, assigning and directing work and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
- Effective supervisory experience.
- Proficient in Windows-based computer applications.
- Three years’ experience as supervisor/manager in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Effective written and oral communications.
- Must exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple projects from their initiation to completion with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
