Job Description:
General Produce Co, an 82 year family-owned produce distributor located in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Senior Accountant. As a member of the Finance/Accounting team, this position is responsible for preparing financial and operational reports, such as business activity and financial position. Additionally, this position provides back up staffing to payroll functions, the Accounting Department and Credit Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Producing the following reports: flash reports for weekly managers’ meetings; monthly financial statements for CFO; annual financial report for CPA; bank cash balance reports, crew productivity reports for Operations manager; Dept. of Labor month and quarterly reports and miscellaneous reports as requested.
- Preparing reports required by IRS, IFTA, DMV, IRP and others.
- Reviewing health insurance policies and payments.
- Assisting with securing fixed asset financing as needed.
- Serving as back up to the Payroll function in the department.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and three to five years’ experience in an accounting/finance department.
- Five years’ experience performing the Essential Functions in this Job Description may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
