We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector who will be responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests on product to ensure that all inbound and outbound product meet standards of quality and safety, under the supervision of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor. Will also be an active member of the Frieda’s Quality Assurance Team as well as a contributing member to the Frieda’s Quality Program.

Requirements: 
  • Must be willing to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment with exposure to extreme cold conditions (32ºF - 58ºF).
  • General understanding of food safety and organic program good practices (GAP’s, GMP’s, HACCP, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Well organized and extremely attentive to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Strong math/technical ability.
  • Experience utilizing tools and equipment needed to complete various warehouse tasks.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Inspects incoming shipments for quality and condition.
  • Creates a quality inspection report for all inbound produce.  
  • Conducts regular product inspection in all coolers and refrigerated warehouse space to ensure quality and proper rotation of products.
  • Conducts random shipping audits for outbound product quality and condition.
  • Assists with inspecting Production packing quality of products.
  • Assists with shelf life testing.
  • All other duties as assigned and/or required.
Education: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1–2 years of produce inspection experience are required. Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) is a plus.
  • Experience and certification using materials handling equipment, specifically a forklift, is required.
