Senior Sales Representative

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a motivated Senior Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Oxnard, CA!

As a Senior Sales Representative you are responsible for establishing, growing and maintaining customer accounts in your assigned territory. You are also responsible for following market trends and forecasting sales.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing preferred but other agricultural related major accepted with 3 years of work related experience.
  • Proven job history of 3 or more years in fresh produce sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to call and source new customer leads.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proficient in Famous Software a plus.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and social media.
  • Ability to travel. Occasional overnight trips will be required.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in industry societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
