We’re looking for a produce professional with QA experience to join our team as Sanitation Supervisor in Salinas, CA.

As the Sanitation Supervisor you are responsible for supporting our sanitation program and ensuring that all employees are in compliance and that we are achieving the highest level of food safety possible. You are also responsible for improving our processes and addressing any problems that may arise.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HACCP and a background in Quality Assurance. You will have leadership skills and the ability to create a safe and friendly work environment, as well as the ability to improve the costs and processes for our sanitation program.

 We are willing to provide relocation to the right candidate.

Requirements: 
  • BS/BA degree preferably in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or Agricultural Science.
  • 2-5 years in QA or Sanitation role in a Food Processing environment.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Supervisory role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to achieve results in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in Sanitation, Quality and Food Safety in a Food Processing Plant.
  • Understanding of regulatory expectation and the Sanitation Performance Standards.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Maintain the Sanitation Program which includes, SSOP’s, Master Cleaning Schedules, MSDS sheets, maintain chemical logs, training files, ATP testing results, and all other documentation as needed.
  • Perform regular audits of the sanitation processes and utilize audit findings to improve the process and implement change.
  • Assist in the preparation for customer audits, 3rd Party Audits and regulatory audits.
  • Perform root cause investigations for microbial issues, pre-op failures and ATP failures.
  • Serve as a technical resource and provide feedback of quality and food safety aspects to other functional groups.
  • Work on special projects to improve cost, safety and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
