Growing fresh produce distributor is seeking a dependable customer service minded individual who works well with others in a fast-paced team oriented sales environment. Strong leadership, attention to detail, communication skills, and self-motivation are just some of the character traits we are looking for. In addition, the applicant must be out-going and have a willingness to accept guidance/coaching and supervision from management.
This is an entry level customer service/sales assistant position. You will become a member of a sales team that is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by accurately processing orders, identifying selling opportunities, and responding effectively to customer needs in a customer focused work environment. You will be tasked with documenting and communicating your daily customer interactions.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
- Produce experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, verbally and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Great attitude with the willingness to learn.
- Service existing accounts and provide outstanding customer service.
- Successfully promote a customer-focused work ethic in tune with the company's core values and principles.
- Identify and target new business development and provide daily marketing support to establish and increase new customers.
- Work with the highest level of integrity and promote a positive company image inside and outside the organization.
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Order entry, tracking, and verification.
- Meet time deadlines for assigned accounts.
- Manage and solve customer issues.
- Proactively achieve sales goals by responding to the changing needs of customers
