We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Logistics Specialist. As a Logistics Specialist you will be a part of the Duda Farm Fresh Foods Logistics Department based in our east coast sales office located in Wellington, FL.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word and web based applications along with the ability to learn company specific software
- Excitement about building and maintaining relationships with customers and carriers
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
- Excellent communication skills and positive interactions with others, including the ability to handle conflict
- Must thrive while working in a fast-paced environment

- As a salaried position, this position requires being on call after typical office hours as needed.
- Be a reliable team player
- College degree is preferred
- Experience in produce or transportation is not required
- Hire transportation carriers to transport Duda sales orders to customers
- Consolidate various orders to determine most cost effective and customer centric delivery options
- Tender loads to carriers
- Track and maintain updates through constant interaction with all carriers and internal departments
- Interface with various internal departments
- Interact with and dispatch Duda employed truck drivers
- Pro-actively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solution
- Negotiate rates with carriers
- Support logistic department’s gross profit targets
- Create opportunities for sales teams with feedback from transportation contacts
- Set up new carrier agreements in accordance with Duda Risk department procedures
- Maintaining carrier profiles and customer receiving information
- Answer carrier inquiries/communications as required
- Data Entry, enter load data associated with all orders
- Schedule delivery appointments with customers for specific carriers
- Communicate information timely and accurately
- Interact with shipping department on load specific details
- Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments in regards to orders handled by the logistics department
- Perform other duties as assigned
