General Sales Manager

Job Description: 

DNE is the marketing division of Bernard Egan & Company located on the beautiful Treasure Coast area of Florida.

 We have been in business for over 100-years! We started off as a small family business with the idea that the only way to build a successful business is through consistent quality; an idea that we have continued to use as our business has grown.

 We are the exclusive marketer of Ocean Spray Fresh Citrus, the largest citrus marketer in Florida.

 We do more than just market citrus we grow and import it too! As a major fresh fruit importer handling product from Australia, Spain, Chile, Morocco, South Africa, Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, Italy and Israel. DNE offers a full line of citrus from Navel Oranges, Red and White Grapefruit, Juice Oranges, Minneolas, Clementines, Mandarins and Lemons and Limes.

 In addition to citrus, we are expanding our business to encompass other produce items as well.

 As a General Sales Manager you will become a part of our Executive Team. You’ll be in charge of all sales activities and personnel, along with coordinating sale operations throughout the company! You’ll need to be quick on your feet and be able to continually adapt to the changing conditions of the market while promoting growth.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management position in the produce industry

  • Must have a good understanding of produce distribution channels. (Retail, Club and Wholesale)

  • Knowledge of inventory systems for perishable products

  • Possesses strong motivational, innovative and interpersonal skills

  • Leadership ability

  • Strong computer skills

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication skills (fluent in Spanish a plus)  
  • Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally and work with suppliers

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Oversight of all sales activities and sales personnel

  • Coordinate sales operations with all other departments of the company

  • Help establish and monitor performance goals for sales department

  • Work with Marketing and Senior management on marketing strategies

  • Identify new product sales opportunities

  • Analyze accounts on volume, pricing, adjustments, and payment terms

  • Monitor market for new product sourcing opportunities
