Receiving Manager

Job Description: 

We are currently seeking an experienced Receiving Manager in Milipitas, California.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Maintains positive employee relations through respectful, open and effective two-way communication at the individual and team levels. 
  • Partners with the Human Resources and Training Departments to develop, implement and maintain effective training and development programs that support key performance goals for the Company, as well as provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees.
  • Works with the Human Resources Department to ensure that all human resources activities are carried out in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Develops, implements, and sustains new methods, procedures, and systems to drive improvements in people performance.
  • Develops and manages to inventory control parameters driven by the production plan and resulting materials requirements, lead-times, operational constraints, working capital guidelines, and operational performance objectives.
  • Works with other department managers to balance flow of materials through the operation to optimize performance.
  • Obtains excellent internal service results, as measured by schedule attainment, stock-out rate and inventory variance, and other formal and informal feedback mechanisms, using existing methods, procedures, and systems.
  • Devolops, implements, and sustains new methods, procedures, and systems to drive improvements in service performance.
  • Works with the General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure effective preventive and emergency maintenance efforts
  • Manages material and supplies usage to ensure minimal spoilage, and maximum yield while maintaining strict adherence to all established procedures and standards.
  • Collaborates with other department managers to control work-in-process inventories with a minimum of spoilage.
  • Ensures proper rotation and optimum inventory levels for all materials and supplies.
  • Obtains excellent cost results, as measured by labor variance, overtime, spoilage, downtime, budget variance analysis, and other formal and informal feedback mechanisms, using existing methods, procedures, and systems.
  • Oversees and manages all materials and warehousing activity to ensure highly disciplined compliance with all product and process quality parameters, approved methods, procedures, practices and systems.
  • Ensures all warehousing and materials operational activity is conducted with disciplined adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintains warehouse conditions and operations in strict compliance with AIB sanitation standards.
  • Works with the Director of Quality Assurance and Food Safety and other team members to ensure highly disciplined compliance with all regulatory and Company defined food safety and sanitation standards, systems, procedures, and practices to guarantee absolute wholesomeness of our product.
  • Obtains excellent quality results, as measured by internal and external facility and operational audit scores, quality systems compliance, and other formal and informal feedback mechanisms, using existing methods, procedures, and systems.
  • Manages warehousing and materials operations, including the maintenance and operation of all powered and manual materials handling equipment, to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulation, as well as Company safety policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ensures that all materials handling equipment operators are properly trained and licensed, with appropriate refresher training and certification.
  • Obtains excellent safety results, as measured by recordable injury frequency, number of accidents and lost time accidents, workers compensation experience, and other formal and informal feedback mechanisms, using existing methods, procedures, and systems.
Qualifications: 
  • Requires managing logistical aspects of raw material, packaging supply, and other operational supply inventories and transactions including inbound transportation, receiving, warehousing, inventory planning and control, disbursements, returns, cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and inventory variance reconciliation. 
  • Will use excellent leadership, analytical, management, and technical skills, abilities and behaviors to generate great performance in key areas of people, safety, quality, service, and cost consistent with measurable objectives and the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in materials management, preferably in a food manufacturing environment, with demonstrated success at the Warehouse or Materials Manager level. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
