Job Description:
The Davis Food Co-op is in search of an entry level Produce Clerk for the produce department of a thriving upscale grocery store.
The Davis Food Co-op started in a Davis living room in 1972, and has grown into a successful full-service food cooperative, owned and operated by over 9,000 local households. In a town of 65,000, that is quite a percentage of the population! We've operated at 620 G Street since March of 1984. In 1990, we were able to buy our building. We have renovated and remodeled several times, and in 2015 we "reset" the Grocery aisles. We are now on the verge of resetting (refreshing, renewing, revitalizing) our Wellness Department.

Requirements:
- 1 year of produce experience and knowledge preferred
- Flexibility to work afternoons/evenings/weekends/holidays
- Ability to work independently

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provides excellent customer service
- Maintains product variety and back stock
- Rotates product within the department
- Merchandise product for retail sale
- General cleaning duties and maintenance
- Adheres to all company/department policies
- Follows and maintains the highest safety standards and procedures
- Adheres to proper waste management and recycling procedures
- Assists the department manager, as needed.
