Job Description: 

Datatech was founded in 1980 in Fresno, CA, in the center of the world's most productive agricultural region. We have grown our customer base throughout California and into 21 other states as well. We develop specialized accounting software for the agriculture industry, including growers, labor contractors, produce shippers and brokers, wineries and dried fruit and nut packers.

Our business is continually growing; we are currently serving over 700 customers with software support contracts and IT service contracts. We are continuously improving our software to reflect ever changing laws and to help our customers stay ahead.   

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Support Representative to join our team in Fresno, CA.

As a Software Support Representative you are the voice of Datatech. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of accounting and software to provide first class customer support. You are responsible for helping our customers learn and utilize our software. You will be their go-to person for any questions/problems they come across. Your goal is to make our customer’s job easier.

Requirements: 
  • 5+ years experience in Ag Payroll, Farm Cost Accounting and/or Produce Shipper/Packer Accounting
  • Undergraduate or Associate Degree, or equivalent experience in Payroll/Accounting
  • Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish
  • Experience with Datatech software very helpful
  • Previous customer support experience a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office with the ability to learn and teach new software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to use multi-line phone system and basic office equipment
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Use your accounting knowledge to help customers implement our software 
  • Receive and resolve customer questions and problems through phone calls and email
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints
  • Identify customer needs
  • Work with team members to resolve more complex problems
  • Make suggestions for new features on our software
  • Keep record of all customer interactions
  • Provide outstanding customer service
