Job Description:
Founded in 2001, C.W. Hendrix Farms Inc. is a small organization in the farm management services industry located in Boca Raton, FL. It has approximately 4 full time employees.
We are seeking a temporary (Approx. 11/5/16 thru 5/20/17) Inventory Control Clerk/Sales Representative to work with us in our Boca Raton, FL location.

Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree required in Agriculture Business, or related field preferred.
- Good interpersonal communication, able to work well with others.
- Manufacturing aptitude.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work nights and/or weekends, hours will change based on business needs.
- Ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision, self-motivated.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
- Industry experience in vegetable transplant knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently, active in the industry.
- Must be in good physical condition and able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
- Ability to build a workplace culture that is capable of executing change to meet business objectives.
- Ability to always be professional, work with integrity and actively promote ethics and compliance with company policies.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish not required, but a plus.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coordinate and communicate packaging material purchase order(s) for corrugated cartons (all plants RPC’s, rubber bands & tags, salt, iceless liners, liners, glue, broccoli field bags, pallets (for all plants), Garden Valley items, and other as assigned.
- Coordinate film, label, tray, and other logistics as needed.
- Manage suppliers on a daily basis to ensure contract terms and service levels are met.
- Create accurate purchase (using P.O.’s) orders to order materials and maintain optimal inventory levels at all plants.
- Ensure receipt of inventory reports and review weekly supplier inventories for cartons, trays, film, liners, glue, labels, field bags, and others as assigned.
- Review open P.O.’s on a daily basis to ensure everything has been properly received. Communicate with receiving clerk if items haven’t been received.
- Additionally, as a Sales Representative you will increase and create sales, by building upon well-established value-added customer relationships, and take the initiative in creating a positive sales environment.
- Forecast and execute sales budgets via direct customer sales, within the overall framework of the Vegetable Division sales strategy
- Maintain customer and prospect lists, developing new market opportunities and sales growth focus.
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all sales related paperwork.
- Provide liaison between company and its customers.
- Exceed customer expectations by cultivating a value-added customer relationship.
- Become well-versed in the Speedling vegetable product line and in customers’ field practices.
- Call on commercial farmers throughout the territory.
- Collect on all sales - including finance charges where applicable.
- Represent and defend against all customer claims if necessary.
- Coordinate with production units regarding space availability.
- Take initiative in researching recommendations and developing market opportunities by participating in trade shows, mailings, demonstrations, etc.
- Monitor the development of new products adaptable to the marketing area.
- Participate in production and sales meetings to learn, contribute and communicate needs and report findings accordingly.
- Ability to demonstrate high ethical standards, develop/maintain a strong sense of teamwork and set an example for your co-workers.
