We are seeking a Warehouse/Shipping Assistant Manager in Dalhart, TX.
The Warehouse/Shipping Assistant Manager will have significant autonomy and will require a broad skill-set, including general management capabilities, attention to detail, a “get-it-done” attitude, and superior interpersonal skills.
This position will report directly to the Dalhart Farm Manager and will work closely with other members of the Dalhart management team.
- Demonstrate strong work-ethic, outstanding leadership ability and exceptional interpersonal skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent with Bachelors of Science degree in a related field highly preferred
- Proficient in the use of Windows based computer programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and a general aptitude with software systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to train and work with operational personnel on the farm
- Superior organizational and project management skills
- Experience in leading and managing people
- Ability to acquire and hold a valid US driver’s license and successfully pass vehicle insurance verification
- Candidates must be eligible to work unrestricted in the U.S. without company sponsorship
- Ability to comprehend, read, write and communicate proficiently in English and interact with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in the produce warehouse and shipping experience preferred and 5 years’ experience highly desired.

Shipping:
- Provide operational leadership in the process of shipping bulk and packaged produce; supervise wash plant crew to execute daily work safely and effectively
- Coordinate with transportation partners for inbound and outbound logistics and communication to customers
- Assist with product quality management and communication of quality specification to meet customer service requirements
- Communicate daily shipments to key stakeholders including corporate staff and customers
- Provide maintenance assistance when needed to ensure wash plant equipment is operating effectively
- Assist with produce shipping from Olton, TX during produce shipping window
Storage Management:
- Monitor produce storage to ensure proper operation including computer control panels
- Perform mechanical maintenance on storage components and work with storage vendors to ensure storage reliability
- Participate in storage control decision making with team and provide direct communication to Farm Manager of status changes
Other Operational Responsibilities:
- Manage the seed inbound logistics, seed storage, and seed cutting operations
- Perform other general farm responsibilities with team as directed by Farm Manager
