Job Description:
We are a Michigan company currently seeking a Vice President of Quality Assurance. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems and ensuring food safety.
Works With: Department managers, hourly employees, human resources, maintenance and executive management.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Supervising receiving inspection.
- Oversee production and validate the standard operating procedures are followed.
- Assist in training all staff understands Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Environmental swabbing and results reporting with corrective actions.
- Validate and implement process improvements related to food quality.
- Inspect raw and finished goods prior to production or shipping.
- Regulatory compliance with FDA, MDA and other governing agencies.
- Report poor quality product and enforce standards.
- Pest control management for the entire facility (combination of internal and external staff).
- Working with operations team to solve problems.
- HACCP plan validation and verification
- Paperwork and process audits.
- Reporting non-conformances.
Education:
- Bachelor degree preferred.
Qualifications:
- Certification in HACCP.
- Minimum of five years of food experience.
- One year of supervisory experience.
- Bi-lingual ability to communicate in English and Spanish preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to make quick and logical decisions.
