Quality Control Technician #2052S

Job Description:

Here's a great opportunity for someone who is currently employed as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Preventive Maintenance Mechanic, Machine Technician, Packaging Technician, etc... This is your chance to step in to a new role with a great company that will value your experience and contributions.

If you are looking for stability, the opportunity for advancement, and a place to call home where you can work hard while enjoying work/life balance, this is the place for you!

This dynamic company helps customers around the world preserve the quality, safety, and value of fresh produce through the use of proprietary processes, patented systems and science-based technologies. They are innovators in modified and controlled atmosphere technology with customers that include produce, food and industrial companies in need of complete MA and CA solutions for perishable goods.

This is an established company that continues to grow and succeed through providing MA and CA systems and technical expertise to customers across the nation and in Europe, Canada, and Latin America.

The company is now in search of a qualified, dependable and responsible Machine/Field Technician to provide technical and mechanical support for their two primary locations in Salinas and Watsonville, California.

Although this business has seasonal peaks and valleys, this is a reliable year-round job that focuses on the Salinas and Watsonville area. You are guaranteed 60 hours per week of pay, even if you work 25 hours, for example. In this position, you will keep the equipment running smoothly via preventative maintenance, and you will typically work reasonable hours without many emergency calls. The secret to success here is simple: keep the machines in great working order, be smart and efficient, and get paid for 60 hours per week. Of course, overtime will be paid when it is worked.

Since this job is not based at a single location, it requires someone who is self-motivated and directed, and has the ability to manage their time, priorities, equipment and preventative maintenance schedule. Time is money for these customers, so the company fully supports their technicians in investing in the equipment to keep things running. They’ve learned that success is about keeping the equipment functioning properly, so you can expect to be on-call and quickly respond 7 days per week if necessary. However, if you're really on top of keeping your equipment in great working condition, you should get very few calls! And keep in mind that any work that is beyond the minor fixes in the field will handled by another group.

In addition to a competitive pay rate, you will be part of a weekly commission program that is based on volume through the machines. So again, if you keep the machines running, you will make more money! We think this is a unique employment opportunity for a career-minded individual and it will be rewarding in many ways!
