Southern California produce company with more than 30 years of organic/conventional, packing, fresh cut and distribution of produce throughout the United States. The company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor who will develop and maintain a comprehensive Food Safety/Quality Assurance program for all facets of our company.
Job Summary:
Develop and Maintain a comprehensive Food Safety and Quality Assurance program with the guidance of Food Safety Consulting Company. Implement program company wide. Candidate should have knowledge and have worked under the current guidelines of the FDA, USDA, GMP, GAP, and HACCP.
Essential Duties:
- Food Safety Compliance
- Oversee the Audit Process and Report Back to Management
- Ensure and keep all record all data needed for Audits and Federal Regulations
- Maintain the company current sanitation practices
- Provide on-going Food Safety Training to Employees
- Compile and update SOP’s, HACCP plan, QC Manuals, and mock recall procedures
- Maintain customer and consumer complaints
- Ensure that labeling for all products are compliant before during after production runs.
- Daily monitoring of Facility
- Maintain and Implement Corporate Food Safety/Compliance Programs required by customers
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English)
- Knowledge/Experience of FDA, GMP, GAP, HACCP, USDA
- Knowledge of GDSN/GTIN Requirements
- 4years+ Food MFG/Good Farming Practices
- Bachelors or Certifications appropriate for job description
