Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Warehouse Operations Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. The position will be responsible for the overall planning and execution of warehouse operations objectives and will participate in strategic planning by identifying short and long-term strategies for the warehousing departments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Directing all inbound and outbound activities
- Delegate workload, motivate successful performance, and drive change and process improvements within the warehouse function
- Develop warehouse Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and recommend cost-saving initiatives
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations
- including OSHA requirements, GSFI requirements, HACCP programs
- Company policies, and safety and food safety programs
- Effectively manage warehouse costs to budget
- Ensure productivity by monitoring labor goals, maintaining a zero error tolerance to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction and directing managers to accomplish productivity goals
- Manage the hiring, scheduling, and operations for three shifts in conjunction with Director(s) or Procurement and Production
- Schedule drivers and warehouse personnel, and control overtime costs
- Maintains relations through regular and pre-shift meetings with Assistant Managers and Supervisors
- Work with team leaders to ensure order fulfillment, accuracy, and on-time delivery dispatching and arrivals
- Responsible for warehouse personnel selection, training, performance reviews, and progressive discipline process as needed in conjunction with Director(s) or Procurement and Production
- Oversee, manage and process bi weekly payroll
- Create performance improvement plans, administer corrective counseling, and identify training opportunities when appropriate
- Collaborate with all internal departments to help meet our sales and financial goals
- Communicate with sales team, purchasing team, and management staff to properly execute company orders, requests, and goals
- Follow Company Policies and Procedures Requirements
- Fluent in English and Spanish
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with warehouse management
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics, and production fulfillment
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team efficiently and effectively
- This position is responsible for at times, up to 80 people a day
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to express well-reasoned independent though
