Job Description:
A major Salinas headquartered agri-business is seeking a Robot Programmer to work on projects that automate labor intensive processes in the field or in a plant.

Requirements:
- Fanuc Programming language “TPP and Karel”
- Fanuc simulation software – “ROBOGUIDE”
- KUKA Programming language “KRL “
- KUKA simulation software- “Sim Pro”
- Must have proven experience in PLC (programmable logic controllers) logic and programming with any of the following PLCs: Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens, Omron and HMI programming
- Basic knowledge of high-level programming languages (Basic, C, Pascal...)
- Basic mechanical aptitude & understanding of dynamic mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of automation systems (sensors, actuators...)
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings & schematics (AutoCAD & 3D CAD knowledge a plus)
- Solid mathematical skills (specifically geometry and trigonometry)
- Solid understanding of controls, electronics, and electrical equipment/systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Robot Programming: 5 years
- Bachelor’s (BS) degree in an engineering discipline and 2+ years of experience preferred
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simplified fashion
- Experience in automation technologies including Machine Vision (Keyence), PLC’s and Industrial Robotics
- Experience in C/C++/C# or VB.NET programming languages.
- Ability to organize and prioritize diverse set of projects, tasks, and activities for timely completion
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair and modify existing designs/software
- Proficient business writing and oral communication skills
- Be able to Integrate Robotic systems with various manufacturing machines to form robotic work cells

Network experience – Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet
Responsibilities & Duties:
- The Robot Programmer will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing robotic cells according to specifications. The individual will evaluate requirements and write efficient and logical programs for a variety of applications using primarily Fanuc robots and Keyence vision systems.
- Program robot paths for material handling using various gripper configurations in robot-manufacturer specific code and Keyence vision system.
- Develop program structure, implement offline programming, and configure robot I/O
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards
- Perform field service of production equipment
