Job Description: 

As a Pack Supervisor, you will oversee the flow of pack fulfillment operations. This position supervises a large team of 30-50 hourly staff members, as well as 4-6 hourly shift leads. It is the responsibility of this supervisor to ensure meals are packed efficiently, in a timely and accurate manner and that quality control is being managed at all times.  This position oversees the box return and recycle program. The Pack Supervisor is responsible for adhering to the budget set for the pack department.

Requirements: 
  • 2 to 5 years of related experience in warehousing, receiving, food manufacturing, or materials management in a manufacturing environment, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Must be willing to work in a refrigerated environment, 10-40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Experience in food handling, procurement and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of agriculture, produce, and raw materials.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Implement policies and procedures for the Receiving Department.
  • Communicate updates, projects and procedure changes with all pack team members on a regular basis.
  • Maintain safe, organized and clean pack and processing rooms.
  • Follow all occupational and food safety guidelines.
  • Mentor and guide all shift leads, developing their skills as leaders and adding support when needed.
  • Update all appropriate department logs, including daily reporting to department heads on cycle progress.
  • Be the first line of quality control for food & packaging products coming into the pack room.  Having a primary quality focus on all perishable goods.
  • Ensure that returned boxes are processed in a timely and sanitary manner, according to policy.
  • Partner with the quality assurance team, correcting errors immediately and in a positive manner.
  • Manage inventory levels in the pack rooms.
  • Manage proper rotation and storage;
  • Make sure products are being used on a FIFO basis. 
  • Ensure products are stored in the correct rooms.
  • Other duties as assigned.
