Job Description:
We are a Major grower/packer/shipper that specializes in greenhouse technologies. Our imported produce consistently receives high grading by the USDA for product quality and class.
We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Northern New Jersey.
As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the warehouse. You will help develop and practice productivity and integrity standards. You will create a positive and safe work for all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning, controlling, and directing of all activities needed for the efficient operation of all order selecting, repacking, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse activities
- Maximize production, inventory rotation
- Communicate daily with sales office to facilitate flow of product; ensure accurate accounting of every package received and shipped
- Assists with Food Safety and Security standards of the business
- Creates and maintains a positive working climate to promote employee morale and productivity
Requirements:
- Warehouse experience is a must
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and adherence
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Versatility and flexibility to work within a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work independently, as well as a strong team member
- Good judgment in making timely and sound decisions
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
- Detail oriented
