Job Description:
This Florida family owned company has been manufacturing high quality foods for over 30 years. Selling their products nationwide while ensuring their customers receive excellent products.
We are currently looking for a Produce Buyer. This individual will have a great attitude and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities & Duties:
This person will be responsible for:
- Purchasing truckloads of tomatoes, cilantro, onions, bell peppers, squash and jalapeno.
- We buy tomatoes more than any other item, this person must have a background in purchasing tomatoes.
Qualifications:
- Prior produce sales and tomato purchasing experience, highly desirable
- Computer proficiency, a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organizational & negotiating skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
- Bilingual, desired
- Strong negotiating skills with pricing and purchasing
Other:
- Hours of operation are from 8am to 4pm
- Lunch is provided daily
