A privately held California company focused on growing, packing and distribution of Fresh Produce for healthy lifestyles. Over the last 30 years, they have expanded their operations to become one of the largest distributors of their product in the United States. They also import/export their product from locations ranging from the West Coast, Central and South America and even Asia.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Negotiate transportation rates and services.
- Maintain relationship and contracts with carriers.
- Obtain and maintain the services of less-than-truckload carriers.
- Oversee scheduling of shipments.
- Book, track and maintain on time delivery of goods.
- Ensure transit times and on-time delivers are maintained.
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures for product transit and delivery.
- Work regularly with Sales team to determine the immediate and future trucking needs.
- Maintain relationship with various accounts to learn how to more efficiently handle their respective needs.
- Maintain all transportation vendors' insurance certificates.

- 1+ years minimum work experience in transportation logistics for produce or perishable food industries
- College degree preferred but not required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish (speak, read and write) - preferred
Only those candidates that meet the minimum requirements and have 2+ year’s experience will be considered.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in produce industry and perishable food industry is preferred.
- Direct experience with routing and load planning.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Excellent organizational & negotiating skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
