We are looking for an Operations Manager to help us through our growing pains and to help take our facility operation to the next level in Eastern NC.

As the Operations Manager you will oversee the entire warehouse operation, which includes over 50 employees engaged in production, shipping and receiving, transportation and inventory. You are responsible for ensuring that all operations run smoothly and effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills.

A successful candidate could advance to COO.

Requirements: 
  • Must have bachelor’s degree in management, business, finance or other relative field.
  • Must have at least 6 years of operations management experience with a proven track record.
  • Must have managed at least 40 employees.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management.
  • Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent time management skills with strong ability to lead, plan, and manage change and culture.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Strong relationship building and management skills.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Strategic planning with the executive team for short-term and long-term goals.
  • Provide engaging leadership to the Operations team; developing and guiding his/her team members to work effectively together to achieve team goals.
  • Be an integral partner with Sales and Supply to meet customer expectations.
  • Plan, implement and monitor the day-to-day operations for the warehousing function, including analyzing operating data and reports, determining manpower needs and monitoring adherence to standards to ensure business plan objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage an annual budget or capital investment plan for warehousing functions across the organization.
  • Drive the warehouse management team, including involvement in the recruitment and selection process of new employees, assigning work, providing training and development, evaluating performance, and building a motivated, effective team to ensure that organizational goals for diversity, career development, productivity, performance management and employee involvement are met.
